Names and numbers to John Habermen. He will be at the footy at Reservoir on Sunday or at the club on a Thursday night.

Thanks to everyone that made the effort to attend our reunion las Saturday even if there wasn’t any football. We ended up with quite a turnout and everyone enjoyed themselves. That night the players 70,s and 80,s night went off extremly well with about 100 in attendance.
The good news is that after a lot of work we were finally given a forfeit for the match against South Morang. This means four points but not a great deal of percentage but we will have to accept that. Now lets just get on with playing footy and forget the politics.
We are playing Reservoir this SUNDAY at their ground so lets all turn up and support the boys.
The weekend after is the start of the split round and we have the week off which will be a great chance for everyone to have a break from the club, so enjoy it one and all.
The following week we are at home and it is Sponsors day at the club.
See you all either Thursday night , Saturday or Sunday.

The Epping Football Club will not be playing football tomorrow against South Morang due to the Northern Football League suspending the game due to South Morang Football Club suffering from the swine flu.
We will still be having the reunion tomorrow as previously arranged, commencing at about 12 midday, so please come along and enjoy the afternoon.

Supporters of the Fitzroy Stars and Epping Football Club’s (And all other club scheduled to play the STARS at Victoria Park) are advised that alcohol is not permitted at Victoria Park.
The directive has come from the City of Yarra and will remain in place until the City of Yarra advise the Fitzroy Stars differently.
Please note that this is not a Fitzroy Stars Football Club policy.
The explanation from the City of Yarra for this directive is that Victoria Park is a closed venue and that there are parts of the venue that are considered construction sites.
In addition supporters of both sides are confined to viewing the match from the Sherrin Stand due to construction work at Victoria Park.
If you have any concerns or queries in regard to this directive please contact the City of Yarra.
Troy Austin,
President,
Fitzroy Stars Football Club.

Well we are now 3 rounds into the season for 2 wins and one loss. Well done to the boys for a very competitive start to the season.
Last Saturday we played Watsonia at their domain and it was a great result with the Seniors winning by 61 points, the Reserves won by 33 points and the U19's went down by 8 points. Whilst on the U19's although I know they would have been disappointed in losing, they can hold their heads high as they are a very different team from the week before. Their discipline was excellent and they played a fine style of football. Keep it up boys and wins will soon come your way.
Also congratulations to Lumpy on his 150th game on the weekend. Lumpy has been and remains a great player for the Epping Football Club. Also 100 games for Frank Carlucci, who has made a remarkable comeback after that terrible incident last year when he broke his leg. Well done Frank.
Don’t forget about the Courtesy Bus on Thursday nights. Ring 0466067131 and you will be collected from your home and then dropped back when you’re ready to go. The last bus leaves at 10p.m. So come along and have a meal and a drink with the players as well as the Joker jackpot which currently stands at over $500.
This week we play Diamond Creek at their ground and so come along and support the boys as they take on the top side who are undefeated at this stage. Let’s hope this all changes after Saturday.
If you want to purchase a membership see Glen Little on a Thursday night or at a home game.

Presidents Message 12/12/2008
Well another year is coming to an end and I would like to take this final opportunity for the year to let everyone know what the latest is for 2009. The Seniors have now been training twice a week for the past 6 weeks and those that have made the effort before Christmas will certainly benefit in the New Year when the crunch comes, so well done to those that have made the effort. We have now signed most players from last year and are busily recruiting for the 2009 season. Hopefully we will have some good news on those we are attempting to recruit in the New Year. Stay tuned.
On the junior side of things the following are the coaches for the 2009 season. After extensive interviews the committees are pleased to announce the following.
Under 9’s Stuart Chambers
Under 10’s Chris Hughes
Under 11’s Sean Kearney
Under 12’s Dave Ellis
Under 13 a Sean Bradford
Under 13b Janine Bibby
Under 14’s Matt Sole
Under 15’s Mick Mathews
Under 17a Ray Deane
Under 17 b Jeff Cullen
Congratulations to all the above coaches and thanks for your patience during the interview process. Also congratulations must go to Mick Glasgow who has stepped up to senior level and will assist Rod Watkins in coaching and developing the U19 squad.
Senior training will finish on the 18th of December and we hope to have a BBQ and a couple of drinks after training for Christmas, and all are welcome. We will re-commence training on Tuesday the 27th of January 2009 at the football ground. We will advertise when and where practice matches will be first thing in the New Year.
On behalf of myself, the junior director Jeff Cullen and both senior and junior committees I would like to wish all players, supporters and sponsors a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Presidents Message 17/10/08
The AGM was held last Monday the 13th of October, 2008 and we had in excess of 60 people turn out for the meeting which was really pleasing. It is great to see such support for the club. I would like to thank firstly Jackie Panther and her committee for doing such a great job over the past two years. It is never easy being the President of any junior football club as you have to put up with a lot, but I feel that Jackie was very professional about her job and did it with a lot of energy. I personally hope that we still see her around the club either supporting or helping out at the club and likewise the rest of the junior committee.
Also a big thank you to Brendan McCarthy and his committee for such a great year. I feel that Macca did a great job as President and he has certainly left a big hole with his departure. I know that he will be about the club whenever he can. To his wife Dannie, can I also thank her for being so patient especially while expecting their first child.
Well now it is another Committee to continue on and forward to the 2009 footy season and those who were voted in at the AGM are all listed below. We are currently in the process of interviewing coaches and players and I will keep you updated with this as soon decisions are made or players are signed. The new Executives for both Juniors and Seniors are as follows:
Seniors: Juniors:
President: Steve Passeri Junior Director: Jeff Cullen
Vice President: Tony Taggert Vice : Stuart Chambers
Secretary: Julieanne Long Secretary: To Be Announced.
Treasurer: Rod Watkins Treasurer: Wayne Long.
If any person is interested in joining either the Senior or Junior committees either contact myself, president@eppingfc.com.au or our Secretary Julieanne Long, secretary@eppingfc.com.au or 0433 471 347 and we would be more than happy to have you on board for the upcoming year of footy.
